Kolyo Kolev

Mr. Kolyo Kolev is a highly experienced professional with more than 27 years of expertise in the development, implementation, and management of customs information systems. Over the course of his career at the Bulgarian National Customs Agency, he has held a number of senior positions, demonstrating leadership and a deep commitment to innovation and operational excellence. Since 2019, Mr. Kolev has served as Director of the Directorate for Information Systems and Analytical Activities, where he oversees the strategic development and modernization of the Agency’s information and analytical infrastructure.
He has successfully completed a wide range of specialized trainings in information technology, digital transformation, and administrative management, continuously enhancing his knowledge to meet the evolving demands of the sector. His extensive experience and visionary leadership have significantly contributed to the advancement of Bulgaria’s customs operations in line with international best practices.
