Yasen Tanev brings strategic expertise in cybersecurity and technology, helping businesses align with evolving European regulations while strengthening their digital resilience and competitiveness.
He is currently the Country Manager of Zucchetti Bulgaria, the Bulgarian branch of one of Europe’s largest and most respected software providers. In this leadership role, he oversees national operations, secure solution design, and client partnerships across sectors including retail, finance, and hospitality.
In addition, Mr. Tanev serves as the Ecosystem Manager at Trakia Digital Innovation Hub – Bulgaria’s only officially recognized European Digital Innovation Hub focused on cybersecurity. There, he works closely with SMEs, public institutions, and startups to promote secure digital transformation and EU regulatory alignment.
With over two decades of hands-on experience, Mr. Tanev is a trusted expert in PCI DSS compliance, payment security, and secure data architecture. He has led numerous audits, compliance training programs, and strategic consulting engagements for financial institutions, ecommerce platforms, and regulatory bodies. Earlier in his career, he founded and successfully exited a technology company later integrated into a multinational software group.
